Hi! Is it possible to drive to the Cavaglia train station? I understand they have some limited parking available but I also heard the road is too inaccessible for most cars. We are hoping to visit the Glacier garden with the media holes. Thank you!

    Hi DMLY,

    Welcome to MySwissAlps.

Personally I would recommend travelling with the train to Cavaglia instead of driving. The glacier is located about 10mins from the Cavaglia station. If you prefer driving, I suggest park the car in Pontresina/St Moritz then take the train the rest of the way.

Let us know if you need more info.

    regards,

    Anna

Thank you fir the quick reply. Ideally I would love to take the train from start to finish but we have limited time and have a car with us. So our only real option would be driving to the Cavaglia station. I know it’s not ideal but is it actually possible?

You have not said where you will be starting from. If you are staying north (for example St Moritz) it takes just as long to drive a car to Cavaglia as it does to take the train, as Cavaglia is remote
