Eiger Trail late May - weather conditions?

Hi - i'm hoping that you can help...

i have a trip to Grindelwald with friends at the end of May & we're considering the Eiger Trail as an activity.

does anybody have any experience of the trail at this time of year? if so could you please advise what type of weather conditions we can expect (& any other top tips!)

May not be open. It is still late winter at those altitudes.
