Dear Annika,
Request your kind help :
We are family of 4 (2 adults +2 Youth). We arrive in Geneva from Paris on 11th in the morning.

In the evening we will take a train to Villars Sur Ollon, Switzerland and that would be our base. We will leave from Zurich on 18th evening.

We would like to cover Interlaken/Jungforough/Zermatt/EngelbergMt.Titlis/Lucerne/Mt.Pilatus and other possible attractions as per your advise:

Please suggest:

1.Other importnt destinations to cover with Villars Sur ollon as our base.

2. Any moderate level trekking sites near by.

3. What kind of train pass should we take and the other important trains we need to go ( Glacier exp, Chocolate train etc)

4.Anyother mountain top we need to visit?

5. From Geneva - how to get to our place of stay - Villars Sur ollon by train on 11th Saturday? We would like to leave late in the evening - 6 PM from Geneva .

6.To go from Villars Sur ollon - Do you have direct trains to Interlaken /Engelberg/Lucerne/Zermatt and other cities?

Many Thanks /Eugene

Hello Eugene, and welcome! I think the Swiss timetable will answer many of your questions. All you have to do is fill out your destination (please mind the right spelling, e.g. Jungfraujoch) and departure station to plan each trip in detail. This will also indicate which day trips are doable from Villars sur Ollon and which are not. It's not located that centrally so no, you won't find any direct connections to the destinations you mention and some trips will require very long traveling times. I would focus on attractions nearby if I were you, such as lake Geneva, the Chocolate Train, Chateaux de Chillon near Montreux, and so on. This website is a valuable source for day trips suggestions in that area.

If you do intend on making long day trips, you can best consider an 8 day Swiss Saver Pass for the adults and Swiss Youth Passes for the youths, or a Swiss Saver Flexi Pass for the adults and youths.
