Eurail 2 country Select Pass on Golden Pass route

    Hi, have purchased Eurail 2 country pass on 1st class. Would like to go on the Golden Pass Line from Lucerne to Zurich next month. Do I need to purchase tickets again and also reserve seats for the Golden Pass Line?

    If I need seat reservation, what’s the better seats to book?

    Hi aidadaud and welcome to MySwissAlps!

    The Eurail Select Pass covers the ticket for the Golden Pass route (From Lucerne on the Montreux).
    You can read about the validity of the Eurail Select Pass in Switzerland here.

    We only recommend reservations on the section between Montreux and Zweisimmen in the summer only, the rest of the route is fine without it. However reservations are not possible this Spring due to line construction. You will be transfered off the train on to a bus for about 10km of the trip (Montbovon to Château-d’Oex).
