Hello, I am planning our itinerary for our first time in Europe this October, we plan to take the last Glacier Express train from Chur to Zermatt on Oct.14th, which is covered by a Eurail pass. I am having difficulty figuring out which trains are covered by a Eurail pass from Zermatt to Interlaken, then to Grindelwald (to go up to see Jungfrau). As well, would departing from Interlaken or Grindelwald to go to Lorrach, Germany, via Basel be better.We need to reach Lorrach, Germany by 5:00 pm on Thurs. Oct. 18/18. Also, not sure if it would be best to stay our 2 nights in Interlaken or Grindelwald for the convenience of the train to Basel??? Thank you for any assistance you can offer…much appreciated. Ronnie

You can see what routes are covered by the Eurail Select Pass (that is the pass you have?) here: https://www.myswissalp s.com/eurailselectpass /validity or do you have the Eurail Global Pass? https://www.myswissalp s.com/eurailglobalpass /validity

Either town is fine to get to Basel and then on to Lorrach. Grindelwald just adds maybe 30 minutes to the trip.

Thank you for, Lucas, for your suggestions. I will check those out. Would you recommend Interlaken or Grindelwald for the 2 nights stay. We prefer quaint villages over cities and the surrounding scenery is also important. Best Regards, Ronnie

Grindelwald would work best for you, or a town like Wengen is also quite popular on the forum here.
