    Hi Sulaiman76,

Which exact pass do you want to buy? How many days/which countries/which start date? And where are you buying from? Websites to buy from are listed here: http://www.myswissalps.com/eu railselectpass/price

    hi,

This is my confirmed itinerary in Switzerland

    1/4 – arrival @ 2pm (free & easy in zurich) – confirmed

2/4 – Lucern & snow in Mt Titlis (planing to buy this beginner pack ski under viator USD 415 – 2+2 family)

3/4 – tour around zurich & visit chocolate factory

4/4 – morning train to Paris (confirmed)

    my Q,

    1. should i go for full travel pass or 1/2 day travel pass?

    2. 1/2 day travel pass at the price of 120 CHF for 1 day? so for my trip how many days should i buy?

    3. 2 of my kids are at the age of 14 & 9. Are they free under family travel pass? I still dont understand on hw to apply family card

    4. any idea for my time on 3/4 beside zurich tour?

    thanks

If those are your only trips in Switzerland I wouldn’t think any rail pass is worth the purchase cost for you.

You are only traveling on your own on 1/4 and 3/4 in Zurich before heading to Paris the next day.
I would look at the Zurich Card on those days. What chocolate factory are you visiting near Zurich?

If you did get the Swiss Travel Pass or Swiss Half Fare Card, you can order the free Swiss Family Card (one card for both kids) and then they travel free with you.

you could do out to the Rhein Falls on 3/4 if you want a nice easy trip.

Yes, there are a few chocolate factories in this country. 🙂

There are two that I am aware of around Zurich:

You’ll also find smaller chocolate shops in downtown Zurich that will offer classes of chocolate making as well.

I wouldn’t think it is worth the cost for you no.

Especially on 2/4 – you are doing a tour with Viator so a Swiss Travel Pass would be a waste that day – the transportation would be included yes?

So you have a half day on 1/4 in Zurich and a full day again in Zurich on 3/4. A rail pass wouldn’t be worth that limited transit use. Have a look on our getting around Zurich page for tips and details on the Zurich Card which might be worth it for you.

What if transportation is not provided for my activities on 2/4 Titlis & 3/4 Rhein falls. What pass should I go? Thanks

If you don’t take a tour, and travel on your own then a Swiss Travel Pass might make sense.

You’ll have to do the math to know for 100% though: https://www.myswissalp s.com/train/ticketspas ses/practical/choosera ilpass

If you aren’t too worried about overall cost, the Swiss Travel Pass is quite convenient as you don’t need to buy tickets for most of your trips (you will still need to buy a ticket from Engelberg to Titlis (at 50% off with the Swiss Travel Pass).

Have you bought the top package listed here? Unguided? In that case yes you still need a ticket to get to Engelberg so you can use the Swiss Travel Pass to cover that section.

Have you bought that package already? If you haven’t and decide to buy the Swiss Travel Pass you will get 50% off the cable car from Engelberg with the Swiss Travel Pass (buy the ticket at Engelberg).

depart from zurich 8am – 10am arrive engelberg

depart from Engelberg 7pm – 9pm arrive zurich.

The below package includes the cable car ticket, but not the train ride to Engelberg where the cable car begins.
