I would like to check my one travel suitcase from Zurich HB to Lauterbrunnen, but I do not want to wait two days to get my suitcase. There is apparently express service, but I cannot find it on any website. Also, does the door-to-door service include hotels or is it just for residences? This service would be very helpful to seniors like my wife and myself.

The Express luggage service has been greatly reduced in Switzerland this summer; I have a feeling they are jut swamped with shipping luggage in the summers at least.

It will be less busy than July and August for sure. September is a nice time for a visit. Still warm and a few less tourists about. 🙂

Lucas, the websites you proffered are the same ones I researched. I can not find an option for the express service and maybe it is not offered this time of year or I simply do not understand how to navigate the website. The SBB website does not provide contact information. How (or is it who) can help me ascertain if the express service is available? Thank you, Den

I think SBB is trying to hide the service as much as possible – it certainly sounds like they are trying to do away with express service entirely.

You’ll want to scroll to the bottom of the page I linked about for SBB and click on the tab below “Contact” then on the drop down box click station and then select Zurich main station and you can send your questions to them about the luggage.
