    Hello,

We are in Ascona and I am seeking recommendations on things to do with my 10 year old daughter. We have taken the boat on Lake Maggiore to Isole di Brissago, and explored Ascona. Today we plan to see the falconry show in Locarno. Should we try the llama trek? Worthwhile? Any other recommendations for a girl interested in wildlife?

    Thank you!

    Hi LaurelMere!

I hope you’re enjoying your days in Ascona and Locarno. The Brissago island is beautiful, isn’t it?

Unfortunately I don’t know about the lama trek. I do know of a small zoo near Lugano: http://www.zooalmaglio.ch/, so that might be interesting for your daughter. Other than that there are plenty of family friendly trips that can be made near Locarno (http://www.myswissalps.com/lo carno/activities) and Lugano (http://www.myswissalps.com/lu gano/activities), including Swissminiatur (http://www.myswissalps.com/sw issminiatur), but they’re not really wildlife oriented.

Thank you for the help Annika! The Falconeria turned out to be a big success with my daughter. Now onto Luzern and Wengen before we conclude our trip. Appreciate the input!
