    Hi Elaine,

You don’t need to book your Mount Pilatus trip. All of the round trip is free with your Swiss Travel Passes for both adults and children (see here for what’s included in the pass).

Toboggan tickets can be purchased on the spot. The order of things does not matter. Just make sure you go up to the peak when the weather is good.

    Hi guys,

it’s almost time for my travel this sunday and yet there seems to be a lot of homework not done at this point of time.

We will be reaching Zurich on Monday morning and we will hang around in Zurich town on first day.

Day 2 : we now plan to visit Rhinefall instead. however, we will be bringing our luggages along with us. what can we cover together with Rhinefall on this day? In addition, where should we store the luggages? once we are done with Rhinefall we will go back to our accommodation all the way in Madiswil as we were not able to book any accommodation in bern. May we know how do we deal witht he luggages while@ Rhinefall. overnight at Madiswil.

Day 3 from Madiwil to Lucerne. Plan to do Mt Pilatus and Lucurne Town . overnight at Madiswil

Day 4 Madiswil to Interlaken, Lake Thun, Lauterbrunnen. Back Madiswil

Day 5 Madiswil to Berne. Whole day in Berne. Back Madiswil

Day 6 Madiswil Zermaat and Matterhorn. Back to Tasch.

Day 7 Tasch and More Zermaat

Day 8 Tasch to Vevey. Stay in Vevey.

Day 9 Explore Vevey in the morning and afternoon. Evening train to Chempery. overnight at Chempery

    Day 10 Chempery area exploration

Day 11 Chempery to Montreaux. Chillon Palace. Back in Chempery

Day 12 Leave Chempery and back to Vevey. Overnight in Vevey

Day 13 Leave Vevey and stay in Geneva

    1. Does the above timetable seem to be ok?

    2. We would also love to do Chocolate Factory at Broc as well as Cheese tour. Which day do you think we should slot this?

    3. Is entrance to Chocolate factory free for swiss travel pass holder?

    Hi Elaine,

Day 2: I guess it’s simplest to store your luggage in a locker at the Zurich train station and collect it after your Rhine Fall visit. A visit to Schaffhausen or Zurich can be done on this day too if you start early enough.

    1. I’d recommend to check traveling times in the timetable. Be sure to enter the correct town names to be sure you’ll get the schedules you need (Luzern/Lucerne, Zermatt, Champéry). Overall it looks fine to me, except for staying in Vevey twice.

    2. You can visit these as a day trip from Vevey.

    3. Yes it is, and the entrance to the cheese factory in Gruyères is free as well.

If we are to go to Rhinefall from Zurich, which station do we stop? is it ‘Neuhausen Rheinfall’ or ‘Schloss Laufen am Rheinfall’ which will be better? We would love to do the waterfall And is it a straight-train without having to change station in between? do we go through Winterthur at all?

Is Schaffhausen a town nearby Rhinefall? Whichh station do we stop if we need to go there?

the reason why we will be staying twice in Vevey is because I will be having conference in Chempery and then back to Vevey headoffice.

You can stop at either station for the RheinFall– both leave you on either side of the river (I took one going there and the other return).

You can search timetables to find the routes and stations for any route here.

Schaffhausen is indeed a town close to the Rheinfall – again use the timetable to plan a trip there. The stop is Schaffhausen bahnhof – the timetable will direct you to the central station when you enter schaffhausen. 🙂

    Cheers!
