We love to visit local markets when traveling for local flavors and souvenirs. The touristy and recommended summer market in Vevey will end in August but they run a market on Tuesday and Saturday. Weighing if a stop here should be included prior to a visit to the Lavaux vineyards. We are headed to Zermatt that afternoon and want to maximize our time in this area. Are there other local markets at this time of year that should not be missed near the vicinity of Montreax, Wengen, and Lucerne?

Hi dootle and welcome to My SwissAlps.

I recall a farmers market on weekend mornings along the Rathausquai on the north bank of the Reuss. It is not very large, and I don't think I'd make a detour for it, but, if you are in Luzern then you could easily take a look.
