    Hi,

We are a family of 3 with our son being 12 years old. We would be visiting Switzerland between 19-29th may 2017.

We have made the following tentative hotel bookings. As we would be extensively using the swiss public transport, need advise on feasibility

    Lucerne – Richemont hotel

    Lauterbrunnen- Hotel crystal

As we could not find hotels with triple rooms within our budget in Vevey/Montreux, we have tentatively booked

Hotel Prealpina in Chexbres and would be spending 3 nights here. Need advise on whether the same is practical in terms of travel, meals etc.

Need suggestions for a hotel in Zurich for our last night in Switzerland. We would be coming in from Lauterbrunnen and plan to do some local sightseeing and maybe the Rhine falls .Our budget would be about 200 CHF.

    Thanks

    Shilpa

    Hi Shilotam,

Chexbres is quite close to Montreux (20 minutes) so no need to worry about staying there – you will find more restaurants and shops in Montreux of course so plan ahead on that.

Here is our list of recommended hotels in Zurich. Take a look at the Hotel Montana it should be under your budget and I have had family stay there before – quite nice.

Does that help? Let me know if you have other questions!

Thanks Lucas for your valuable input.

Have just made bookings at the Hotel Montana. A little over budget for a triple room but excellent reviews with regard to location and convenience.
