Hi Anna,

Thank you so much for the information.

what's the difference between Swiss travel pass and Swiss travel pass flex?

If we are going to buy swiss travel pass, do we need to buy the Bernese pass also?

We are so grateful for the help.

Karen

Hi Klt0314,

The main difference between the Swiss Travel Pass and the Swiss Travel Pass Flex is the flexibility. The Swiss Travel Pass is valid for travel on consecutive days. With a Swiss Travel Pass Flex you can choose to travel on consecutive days and non-consecutive days within a one month period. The other major difference is of course the prices. Swiss Travel Pass Flex is a little more expensive because it offers more flexibility. Both passes however have the same coverage.

You can find more details in the following links:

Typically using a Swiss Travel Pass/Flex is sufficient. However if your trip is focused on one region, it might be a good idea to purchase a regional railpass such as the Berner Oberland Pass: https://www.myswissalps.com/regionalpassberneseoberland. It comes down to your itinerary. You can find helpful information on how to choose the best railpass here: www.myswissalps.com/train/ticketspasses/practical/chooserailpass

Regards,

Anna
