Would love to have confirmation that we’ve made the right choice in rail passes before making final purchase. We are to be in Switzerland for 5 days, with 4 of them in the Lucerne area. Plan to purchase one-way tickets from Zurich airport to Lucerne at the train station but purchase Tell Passes (for 3 of us) to use for the following 4 days in and around Lucerne. We think we’re covered well by the Tell passes since we’re staying in the Central Switzerland area covered by them. Can anyone confirm this plan, and tell us if the Tell passes cover the discounts we will need on trains, gondolas, etc. and other features in the area?

The Tell Pass – Summer does cover a lot of the area around Lucerne yes. It is indeed probably your best rail pass. I don’t know where you are planning to go, but to see what areas/destination are covered (either partially or fully) by the Tell Pass-Summer click here.
