I'd like to buy tickets to travel from Wilderswil to Jungfraujoch online, but find it a bit confusing. Can you help clarify? Thanks.

We'll be staying in Wilderswil for two days in late August. The ticket "Jungfraujoch – Top of Europe" with stations "from Wilderswil to Jungfraujoch" should be ideal for us. Can I assume this is a round trip ticket, that we can ride back to Wilderswil? www.jungfrau.ch/shop/e n/tickets/bergbahn/ang ebote/jungfraujoch-top-of-europe/billete-jungfraujoch

The other ticket "Jungfraujoch Round Trip" clearly stating round trip, but it does not have station Wilderswil. www.jungfrau.ch/shop/e n/tickets/bergbahn/ang ebote/jungfraujoch-top-of-europe/jungfraujoch-rundfahrt

Hello North Sky and Welcome to MySwissAlps,

The second option is to go up from Grindelwald and down to Lauterbrunnen via Wengen (or vice verse). The round trip is recommended. You can easily augment this with a ticket from SBB for the trip from Wilderswil to one of the end points.

You can buy all required tickets on-line or at Wilderswil station the day before travel if weather forecast looks favourable.

Thank-you for your suggestion Rockoyster.

I like the idea of buying the tickets the day before pending on weather forecast. However, it is also recommended to get the mountain rail tickets in advance for high season. Hmm... decision, decision.

The tickets don;t sell out only the queues get longer. Read about reservations here bit.ly/2JQKKSh.

Excellent! Is early September busy time getting up Jungfraujoch?

Hi North Sky,

are you going to have a rail pass of any sort? If spending time in Switzerland for more than 2-3 days it will help reduce your travel costs - especially for Jungfraujoch.

Have a look at the options here: https://www.myswissalp s.com/train/ticketspas ses & be sure to read through our page here on how to choose the best rail pass for your itinerary: https://www.myswissalp s.com/train/ticketspas ses/practical/choosera ilpass

Hi Lucas,

We'll have a rental car for 2 weeks, with 10 days in Switzerland, 2 days in Mont Blanc France, and 2 days in Lake Como Italy. We (3 adults) plan on visiting at least six mountains including Jungfraujoch, and the Swiss Half Fare Card seems to be best suited for our trip.. Any comments are welcome.

Yes, for sure the Swiss Half Fare Card makes sense for mountain and any other trips you make in Switzerland. You can order it online here and have it emailed to you to print before leaving home (and you'll have a back up copy to print again in case you lose it) https://www.myswissalp s.com/swisshalffarecar d/price
