If we buy a flex pass for non consecutive days, can we take a boat or cable car on a day we aren’t using the rail?

Hi Steph and welcome to MySwissAlps!

Yes you can but you don’t get any discounts.

You are only entitled to free or discounted trips on trains, boats, gondolas, buses etc on the days you choose to validate the Swiss Travel Pass Flex for. The type of transport doesn’t matter. So if you think you are going to be using some form of transport every day you are in Switzerland (and most people do) then often the consecutive day Swiss Travel Pass is the better option.
