    Hi SureshSrini,

That ticket is intended for people hiking from First to Schynige Platte. Will you have a Swiss Travel Pass? The ride to and from Schynige Platte is free in that case.

    Thanks Arno.

i think you meant – that journey covers Grindelwald to First. And, Schynige Platte to Grindelwald?

We do have the Pass. We are in the country for 23 days, and we have the 15day Flexi Pass. I am presently poring over your website and a bit of others, to plan the trip out. i think i would start a separate thread, to seek your inputs on that 🙂

When i look at the timetable from Grindelwald to First, it appears …….

Grindelwald station toGrindelwald, Bahnhof (walk), then a postbus, then walk to the gondola station, and then a 25min ride to First – Am i seeing this right??

    Thanks 🙂

    Suresh

    Thanks a lot!

    Hi Suresh,

Yes, indeed, so you’d have to hike from First to Schynige Platte, which is a pretty hefty hike (see the link).

You can walk to the First gondola station in Grindelwald (10-15 minutes from the train station), or take a bus. Then, indeed, a 25 minute ride with the gondola gets you to First.
