Hello!

We will finish our Italy trip and head to Switzerland mid morning March 27 after dropping off our rental car at Milan Malpensa Airport. We will head to the train station and take a train from Milan to Zermatt and spend the night and catch the Glacier Express the next morning. continuing our five day tour of Switzerland that ends in our flying out of Zurich March 31 at 10;00 a.m

My husband and I are thinking of seeing the Jungfraujosh region and Lucerne with a trip on the Bernina Express. We love rustic charm with simple food (cheese fondue and bread) as well as the beauty and prestige of Zurich. We like art and antiques, good food and walking to see new sites. I realize March weather may limit our travels but we would love to view the most scenic places. Your suggestions would be appreciated, thanks!

Hello onthefly and Welcome to MySwissAlps,

If you want to do the Bernina Express (www.myswissalps.com/be rninaexpress) you might want to consider going first to St Moritz via Tirano. Then on to Zermatt via Glacier Express (www.myswissalps.com/gl acierexpress) and from there to the Jungfrau Region before returning to Zurich via Lucerne.

Use the Swiss Train Timetable (www.myswissalps.com/ti metable) to plan your travel. If you haven’t used it before it will pay to read the instructions on that page before delving into the timetable.

The two panorama trains both require reservations and are donated BEX and GEX on the timetable.
