Hi everyone

we would like do a one day trip to paris from geneva or zurich and come back in zurich .

please could you advise on this whether its a good idea to do so.

Hi Yshu krishna,

from Geneva (http://www.myswissalps.com/geneva) to Paris it takes 3 hrs 13 mins, from Zurich (http://www.myswissalps.com/zurich) at least 4 hrs according to the timetable (http://www.myswissalps.com/timetable).

You could do a trip to Paris as a day trip, although I would recommend at least 2-3 days to spend in Paris to get the atmosphere and be able to see a bit from the city.
