I’m looking to travel from Chur to Andermatt on the glacier express and then on to Lucerne by regular train. I think I can do this but am not sure. I would have a swiss travel pass so assume all of this travel would be covered by it. Is this possible/correct? Thank you

Hi rkmahon2568 and welcome to MySwissAlps!

Yes, that is possible, depending on the date of travel. You can search for trains between Chur and Andermatt here. The Glacier Express train is labelled GEX.

All trains take the same route, so if you can’t find the actual GEX train on your date of travel, at least know you will be seeing the same scenery, just on a non-panoramic train.

The Swiss Travel Pass covers the ticket cost but there is a mandatory reservation for the Glacier Express – click here for details on how to book.
