I just bought Swiss Travel pass and was trying to book the seat on http://www.glacierexpress.ch/ en/ from ST.MORITZ to ZERMATT – is that the right place to book the seat with Swiss Travel Pass? Looks like no seats are available for my dates. Am I screwed? Any other recommended train route from ST.MORITZ to ZERMATT?

Seats can book out indeed. What’s your travel date and preferred departure time? You’ll find more booking options here: http://www.myswissalps.com/gl acierexpress/packages. It does not matter where you book; they all issue the same reservation.

If the Glacier Expresses are booked out you can still travel on the same route by any regular train. You won’t miss the scenery. No seat reservations required for those trains: http://www.myswissalps.com/gl acierexpress

Thanks, Arno, for a quick reply! I was able to book (for extra payment) for my dates.

This is my first trip to Switzerland so I appreciate you help. Additionally I will be traveling by train between these cities; do I need to / is there a way to book seats ahead of time?
