We booked and paid for reservations on the Glacier Express a few weeks ago before the tickets were available to purchase. We are trying to book the actual tickets today since the booking period is open on glacierexpress .ch. It won’t let us proceed without paying for another reservation. Where do we book just the tickets? Thank you!

    Hi Jrzgrl,

Any website offering train tickets for Switzerland should also sell them for the Glacier Express route. Here’s a list of options: http://www.myswissalps.com/traintickets/switzerland/price. In many cases, the Saver Day Pass is cheaper than a ticket though: http://www.myswissalps.com/saverdaypass.

So we can just buy the ticket on a site and we don’t need to identify that we have a reservation?

    That’s correct Jrzgrl!

A ticket or Saver Day Pass and a seat reservation aren’t connected to one another. You just have to be able to show both when traveling in the Glacier Express. The paragraph “The difference between tickets, passes and seat reservations” at http://www.myswissalps.com/train/reservations/howtouse explains more about this.

    I hope this clarifies things.
