Hello. Can I start my ride on the Golden Pass from Interlaken (& not Luzern) to Montreux?

    Hi Shahidah63,

    Welcome to MySwissAlps!

Yes, you can board the Golden Pass train from Interlaken. For your information, the Golden Pass is not a direct train. It’s a scenic route, serviced by several very special trains. You need to switch trains in Interlaken and Zweisimmen. You can get more details about the Golden Pass line here: http://www.myswissalps.com/go ldenpass

Be sure to check these out too when you plan your itinerary!

    Hope that helps!

    Regards,

    Anna

LucerneInterlaken is not the true Golden Pass. The true (original) Golden Pass is just the section from Zweisimmen to Montreux.

The Interlaken – Spiez – Zweisimmen – Gstaad – Montreux railway is just a normal railway (as in Luzern – Interlaken), you can get on and off trains wherever they stop according to the timetable.
