From the discussion in this forum, I came to know that Golden pass line will undergo renovation from 2018 to 2022.

We r a family of 3 plan to travel the Golden pass line in June 2019 & it seems to be the most scenic part of the line from Zwessimen to Montreux will be affected.

So how will we plan for Lucerne To Geneva?

Hi Arnabghosh,

There is construction ongoing until 2022 but we don’t know what is happening beyond 2018 at this point. They are updating the trains and lines over the coming years – but only 2018 changes/construction projects have been released.

from the Golden Pass page, I don’t quite understand much. I plan to go for Grand Swiss in June 2018. How is the construction at that time?

they said that until June 1, 2018, they will use bus instead of train for a section. And It mean after that they will get back to train all the route, right ?

Yes, exactly. There is a bus running about 10km of the total route (10-12 minutes of the 2 hour train trip) until June 1. Then the entire trip will be by train again.
