Hi, do I have to reserve seats if I want to travel from Lucerne to Montreux via the GoldenPass MOB Pannoramic on 2 Nov 2019.? If yes, how do I do it? Can seat reservations for other destinations be done on SBB mobile website?

You can make reservations for the Golden Pass Line (www.myswissalps.com/go ldenpass) including seat selection at bit.ly/2kaq6Rf. Click the "e" for English language top right of the page. (where it says "Sprachwahl: d i f e"). Then change the class of travel, date of travel and start/end points to suit. Reservations are not compulsory but are recommended on the Zweisimmen to Montreux leg (which is where the Panoramic and Belle Époque trains operate) during peak tourist season.

The time you are travelling certainly doesn’t qualify as peak tourist season.

Reservations on most Swiss trains are rare. See www.myswissalps.com/tr ain/reservations/howto use.

If you absolutely feel compelled to make seat reservations you can do so here.

Hi,

I am travelling in a group of 9 pax. And will be travelling from Zweisimmen to Montreux on 30 Nov (Saturday).

So is it necessary for me to make seat reservation? I am holding the EURail Global pass.

Hello BenT,

I would say it is not strictly necessary but if you all want to sit close together if may be appropriate to reserve adjacent seats.

Hi BenT!

Late November is low season (www.myswissalps.com/be sttimetovisit), so even though you're traveling in a group of 9 I expect you to be able to find seats together. But I agree with Rockoyster: if you want to be 100% sure, you'd best arrange for reservations. Please find the options at www.myswissalps.com/go ldenpass/tickets. Make sure you don't buy tickets for the journey, as your Eurail Global Pass will cover those costs: www.myswissalps.com/eu railglobalpass/validit y.
