Hi Pankaj94,
Yes, you are free to make stops along the Golden Pass line. Gstaad station has luggage lockers for you to store your baggage. Might be a good idea to store your luggage here, then take a bus to Saanen (10 minutes) or take a train (3 minutes). After a quick tour, head back to Gstaad for another quick tour, pick up your luggage and continue your Golden Pass journey.

Anna

Hi Pankaj94,
Getting on and off board indeed is no problem if you don’t make seat reservations, and those are not required for the GoldenPass: https://www.myswissalps.com/goldenpass/tickets. Just a note: if you do plan to make reservations, those are valid for specific trains and departure times only, so in that case you’d carefully have to plan and arrange for separate reservations for separate legs of the journey.
You can find details for the connections Saanen-Gstaad (and all other trips) with the aid of the timetable: https://www.myswissalps.com/timetable.
The links https://www.myswissalps.com/train/practical/luggage at allow you to check luggage storage/locker availability for many Swiss railway stations.

Thank you. Good call out on the reservation. Is reservation suggested from Montreux to Zweisemmen? What’s the advantage of reservation? You select a particular seat for better views or something?

Hi Pankaj94,
Seat reservations are not obligatory on the Golden Pass. Reservations on the Zweisimmen – Montreux leg are not required, but recommended in high season. The VIP seats on that leg need to be booked and paid for separately. More info and reservation: http://www.myswissalps.com/goldenpass/tickets.
If you reserve your seats then for sure you have a seat. That’s all 🙂 But usually it is not that crowded.
