How to tell which Golden Pass seats are reserved?

I read somewhere that reservation is not mandatory in the first leg (Lucerne – Interlaken) for Golden Pass Rail. If we don’t make any reservations how can we distinguish between reserved seats and unreserved once you get in the train?

    Thanks,

    Smitha

Hello Smitha. Most trains have displays above the seats, and if a seat is reserved the display will tell you. There may also be a sign attached to the top of the chair. Reserved seats aren’t very common on this leg though. And if you accidentally occupy a chair that’s been reserved, you’ll find out as soon as the travelers come looking for their rightful seat :-). Simply make room and find yourself another seat, if that happens.

In addition, myswissalps.com/train/ reservations/howtouse and myswissalps.com/golden pass might be convenient.
