We will be traveling from Lucerne to Interlaken via Golden Pass/Swiss Travel Pass. Can we stop in Guttannen to ride the funicular and see Gelmersee and then re-board later to go to Interlaken?

You would need to break your journey at Meiringen to reach the Gelmerbahn Funicular by train/bus.

That’s fine as long as you don’t have reservations on the Luzern – Interlaken Express. You can break the journey even with reservations. They just won’t apply when you resume the journey to Interlaken.

You would need to leave any substantial luggage at Meiringen.
