Hi Lita k
1st class is more expensive, and a bit more comfortable. There are cars of each class on every train. Reservation is compulsory only for groups.

Note that there is a train every hour (daytime), but not all are “panoramic” trains. Panoramic trains have more windows.
There is also the GoldenPass Classic train, a Belle Epoque train like in the past.
You should enjoy any of them!

Hi Lita k,
You can find information on the Golden Pass at http://www.myswissalps.com/go ldenpass. The timetable will help you plan your trips: http://www.myswissalps.com/ti metable.
You can’t make a boat trip directly from Montreux to Geneva, but you can make a shorter round trip or get off in Lausanne. From there you could either get on another boat to Geneva (but this combination will take a couple of hours), or continue by train. Please refer to http://www.myswissalps.com/bo atlakegeneva.

Hi Lita k,
That’s correct. It doesn’t matter whether you board a regular or panoramic train. Each train on this route is included in your Swiss Travel Pass: http://www.myswissalps.com/sw isstravelpass/validity. The only additional costs would come from seat reservations, which aren’t required but recommended for the stretch Zweisimmen-Montreux, espcially in high season: http://www.myswissalps.com/go ldenpass/tickets.
The special Golden Pass trains will be denoted as “Golden Pass MOB Panoramic” or “Golden Pass MOB Belle Epoque” in the timetable I linked to. Click on any connection to see which trains are involved. Apart from that, you can study the separate Golden Pass timetable we link to from http://www.myswissalps.com/go ldenpass/gettingthere.
