    Dear

I wonder if you may advice about any restrictions on food to be brought in Switzerland airports from other countries.

    Many thanks for your help.

    with best wishes.

    Hi Anil,

Just enjoy the local food. What in particular did you plan to bring with you?

    Hello Anil,

You’ll find various links on http://www.myswissalps.com/ab outswitzerland/practic al/websites, also about food import. But I would also recommend not to bring any unless absolutely required. There is plenty of good food in Switzerland.

    Dear Ockoyster and Arno

Thanks for your message. I am sure that food (amongst so many other things) in Switzerland will be excellent and I am looking forward to it.

I planned to bring some cooked spicy vegetarian snacks with me and was not sure if this will be a problem in custom clearance. I am aware that food items are not allowed in many countries.

    Regards.

    Anil

I would say if they are packaged food you should be ok, but homemade or fresh vegetables might prove to be a problem.
