Gotthard Panorama Express & Swiss Half Fare Card

    Help please!

    I have purchased a Swiss Half Fare Card.

    I want to travel on the Gotthard Panorama Express from Lucerne to Lugano.

    Do I need to buy a ticket or a seat reservation?

    I’m confused!

    Hi Gandjc,

    Yes you need to make reservations on the Gotthard Panorama Express – they are mandatory for everyone. Look here for details: http://www.myswissalps.com/go tthardpanoramaexpress/ packages

    With the Swiss Half Fare Card (http://www.myswissalps.com/sw isshalffarecard) you get 50% off all trips you make – so a ticket must be bought for that trip and all others you make in Switzerland.

    The link above has ticket information/links to buy it as well – or you can buy tickets in Lucerne train station (just reserve your seat as soon as possible).
