At the 25th of july we are travelling from Lucerne tot lugano with boat (to Fluelen) and train (to Lugano).

    Three questions:

How do I get back to Lucerne (the 26th) ??

    By regular train ?

And is it covered by the Swiss travel pass ?

Hi Smartjevdwal and welcome to MySwissAlps!

You can either take the Gotthard Panorama Express train back or take regional trains along the same route (or via a very long tunnel if you want a quicker trip). Use the Swiss railways timetable here to plan out any route: https://www.myswissalp s.com/timetable. The route is covered by the Swiss Travel Pass (including the Gotthard Panorama Express train – you just need reservations if you have a Swiss Travel Pass).

Be sure to read our page about the route to and from Lugano here for more details: https://www.myswissalp s.com/gotthardpanorama express/gettingthere

Another option, if you have time, is to travel from Lugano to Domodossola and on to Brig and then back to Lucerne – a longer trip but very scenic. Also from Brig travel via Kandersteg for great scenery as well!
