    Hi,

Planning for Swiss trip from 25th May to 4th June covering – Montreux, Zermatt, Wengen, Lucerne. So far have planned (and reserved days) for following treks – 5 Lakes (Zermatt), First to Bachalpsee (hoping its open), Mannlichen to Klein Scheidegg

Any other recommendations? especially in Lucerne area?

    Regards,

    Prajakt

    Hi

It would be helpful to know the range of difficulty and length of hikes you are interested in. Mark

    >> Planning for Swiss trip from 25th May to 4th June … have planned … Mannlichen to Klein Scheidegg

One of the forum experts on Wengen, Kim, says she has never seen the Männlichen-Kleine Scheidegg walk open before 12-15 June. See her post of Jan 16, 2018 – 6:28 AM on the following page:

The gondola from Grindelwald Grund to Männlichen will reopen on 26 May 2018, and will also operate on Sat, Sun and Mon 19 May–21 May if weather conditions are nice. The cable car from Wengen to Männlichen reopens on 1 June 2018.

They will operate regardless of whether or not the hiking trails on Männlichen are open, but the local tourist offices will be able to tell you which hiking trails are open when you are there.
