Love this forum! My sisters and I are doing a bucket list hiking trip to Switzerland in September 6 – 15. Our grandparents were born in Switzerland so we feel a strong connection.

We are all experienced hikers, albeit now in our 60’s so we’ve slowed down a bit. Our itinerary is Zurich, Appenzell, Luzern, Wengen, Zermatt and back to Zurich with the longest time being spent in the BO (5 days) with Wengen as our home base.

Any suggestions on “must do” hikes would be appreciated! We have a list already, but would like to hear from people who have experienced these hikes:

    • Faulhornweg,
    • Eiger Trail,
    • Lauterbrunnen Valley,
    • Thrift Glacier,
    • Mannlichen to Kleine Scheidegg

if we can do three, what are the best ones, and what kind of weather should we expect? Thanks so much. We can’t wait to visit your beautiful country.
