Hiring a pontoon boat near Lauterbrunnen

    Our children loved a pontoon boat trip we did in Vienna previously. I have seen that we could rent one on either Lake Brienz or Lake Thun whilst staying in Lauterbrunnen this year and think it would be a nice addition to our trip for the children. Which Lake would you recommend to do and where would be the best place to hire them? We love beautiful scenery, walking and the mountains whilst our teenage children just like to relax! Is there anything else you could recommend that might be fun for two laid back teenagers in the area in the summer?

    Hi Needtotravel,

    Welcome to MySwissAlps! Both lakes are surrounded by beautiful scenery. I don’t think it matters a lot where you rent. The only place I know specifically for pontoon boats is just outside the town of Thun: bootvermietungthunersee.ch. But if you know any others that would be fine too.

    What would your teens like to do? Hang out at a mountain lake? Or something like the Skyline Walk at the Schilthorn? See http://www.myswissalps.com/schilthorn.
