Hotel recommendation for Lucerne or nearby

    Looking for a hotel stay or b&b near lucern. Will be using the train system. Staying for 2 nights. Currently have Gasthaus Paxmontana booked, but read some not so good reviews with noise from near by church bells. Thanks

    Do be aware, that it is hard to avoid those church bells in Switzerland in general. 🙂 It took me a year to not get woken up in Zurich!

    Hello tmooretupper,

    The Gasthaus you have booked is quite a long way from Lucerne (45-60 minutes), in Flüeli-Ranft. It’s a beautiful area for hiking and to relax for a few days, but if you want to be close to the “main” sightseeing sites you’ll be better off with one of the options on Lucas’s page.
