Hello,

I am looking for recommendation for steps i need to do in order to book my trip from Zermatt to Lucerne via the suggested route.

Zermatt to Lucerne: Zermatt – Andermatt (Glacier Express), Andermatt – Göschenen (cogwheel train), Göschenen – Lucerne (Gotthard Panorama Express).

I already booked the tickets form Zermatt – Andermatt (the train arrives at 11:46) in Andermatt. I am confused now with whether i need to book a reservation from Göschenen – Lucerne, There are multiple options on the site (one with boat as well).

Please guide me here.

I am travelling on Swiss Travel Pass.

Hello Dhiren,

Welcome to MySwissAlps! Basically, with a Swiss Travel Pass, there is nothing else to book. You can board all boats and almost all trains as you like: http://www.myswissalps.com/swisstravelpass/howtouse.

However in your case the Glacier Express is one of those trains that does require a seat reservation. Please see http://www.myswissalps.com/glacierexpress/tickets.

Göschenen to Lucerne via the Gotthard Panorama Express means Göschenen to Flüelen by train and Flüelen to Lucerne by boat. I’d recommend to take a regular train there because it’s such a short section. The views are the same anyway. If you do want the “official” train you would need to upgrade to 1st class and buy a seat reservation. The boat does not offer reservations.
