We are planning to travel by the end of April and using the Bernina Express from Milan, Italy to Chur. We are going to stay in the Swiss area for three or four days . How l can calculate the price for the Swiss Travel pass if we are going to visit different places like Jungfrau also we are going to take the Glacier Express and then return by train to Milan or Vicenza? Is it like a round trip pass. Can we do this trip just with the Swiss Travel Pass ? How much it cost?

The price of the Swiss Travel Pass ( isstravelpass) is based on the number of days you buy it for.

It only covers travel within Switzerland.

The Bernina Express ( rninaexpress) and the Glacier Express ( acierexpress) are both covered by the STP but you require seat reservations (not covered by STP) on both.

If you want to travel on those two trains you should look at Zermatt rather than the Jungfrau Region.

Use the Swiss Train Timetable ( to plan your travel. If you are not familiar with the timetable it will pay to first read the instructions at

You should read “How to choose the best travel pass” ( ain/ticketspasses/prac tical/chooserailpass), download the handy spreadsheet calculator and do the math.

Also see aintickets/italy.
