We have Interrail 2nd class tickets. while making seat reservations for Golden pass scenic train , we made a wrong booking in the 1st class compartment. Is there any way to either transfer the tickets to a second class compartment or to cancel the tickets and re-book them.

    Hi Sandina,

When you say you have “Interrail 2nd class tickets”, do you mean that you have a 2nd class InterRail Pass? Are your reservations just for the Zweisimmen to Montreux panoramic sector?

If you feel like “splurging” a little, you could consider buying a class upgrade just for this sector. You can do that at any staffed station in Switzerland. If you have an InterRail Pass, which allows you free travel on this route, I expect you could get the class upgrade for half the difference in cost between first and second class. For the sector Zweisimmen to Montreux, this would amount to CHF 12.50 per passenger. Then you could use your first class reservations.
