Hi SinghAmit,
Thanks for joining MySwissAlps! You’ll find most information here: http://www.myswissalps.com/tr aintickets/italy. Luggage is not charged extra. It’s too early to find the price for your travel date, but if you check a date 2 or 3 months from now, you’ll get an idea about prices and timings. It won’t be very different in December. Try to book early for the best prices. In some cases tickets are already available 6 months ahead of time.
It is useful to check if you need a pass in Switzerland before you buy a ticket: http://www.myswissalps.com/tr ain/ticketspasses. If so, you may only need a ticket to the border instead of to Interlaken.

Thanks for your prompt reply Arno.. So if I buy Swiss Travel Pass, I will only need to buy ticket from Rome to Domodossola.. After that my travel pass will be valid for rest of the journey right?
Also I would like to confirm if overnight travelling is safe from Rome.. As there are 3 changes for my train..

Hi SinghAmit,
Yes, you are right, once you cross the border your Swiss Travel Pass covers the journey. Check exact validity and more details on the pass in this link:

For travelling times and connections use the timetable below, make sure you understand how it works, it’s an invaluable tool for planning:

Regarding travelling by night in Rome I have no personal experience, maybe someone else has some input to share here.
Best,
Steph
