Hi Nilesh and welcome to MySwissAlps!

All boats, trams, buses and cable cars are on the same network so all tickets can be bought in one place, however it will be cheaper for you to buy this particular ticket on the CGN site or at the docks: http://www.myswissalps.com/bo at/tickets

In order to buy it with a Half Fare Card, use the “1/2 tarif” instead of “Plein tarif”: http://www.cgn.ch/en

I guess it’s not helpful they haven’t translated the whole site!

There will be plenty of space for luggage, so wouldn’t worry about that 🙂 More on storing luggage should you need it: http://www.myswissalps.com/tr ain/practical/luggage

A couple of links to your destinations:

    Maria.

Thanx Maria. You’ve been most helpful.

Just a few more queries but this time about Zurich City.

I’m spending 1 day in Zurich. Reaching on 11 May and I have the whole of the 12th for Zurich city.

Here’s what I had in mind: 1. Visit Rheifalls by train and back by 1 pm. 2. Walk along Bahnhofstrasse to Grossmunster and back to Zurich Hbf. 3. Take S10 to Uetilberg and back by 5 pm to Hbf. 4. Reach Burkliplatz by 5.30 pm and do some cycling along the lake. 5. Take the short cruise of 1.5 hrs from 7.10 pm to 8.30 pm and back to my apartment in Zypressenstrasse.

I was wondering if I should Rapperswil instead of Uetilberg because I have time only for 1 of these. What do you suggest.

Would you suggest any other changes? Will appreciate if you can help out. Thank You in advance. Look forward to your reply 🙂

    nilesh.

You can usually board the lake boats in Switzerland and buy the ticket once on board. Just ask for half fare by showing your half fare card

Uetliberg is best – a mountain top ‘within’ Switzerland’s largest city!

    Hi again Nilesh

I agree with 1960man, I’ve been to both and Uetliberg is certainly more scenic!

More on Zurich can be found on this link: http://www.myswissalps.com/zu rich

    Have a wonderful trip!

    Maria.
