Hi all, we are 5 adults and 2 kids – 4 years & 11, arriving Basel on 18th June morning & departure on 23rd Noon. Accommodation booked at Darligen, which is 15 mins from Interlaken. We want to cover Jungfru, titlis and few more attractions near Interlaken & city of Lucerne.

Which travel card would be best for us ? Other option is to hire 7 seater car from basel airport for 7 days, which is costing around 700 CHF all inclusive.

Experts please advise best & economical way.

    Hi Sankalp,

Please also see your other thread at http://www.myswissalps.com/fo rum/topic/how-to-see-best-of-switzerland-alps-in-4-days-by-c where this has been discussed already.

If you go for the car you still need Swiss Half Fare Cards for the adults to save on the excursions: http://www.myswissalps.com/sw isshalffarecard. If you don’t go by car (I’d recommend to do it all by train), then it’s either the Swiss Half Fare Card or the 8-day Swiss Travel Pass: http://www.myswissalps.com/sw isstravelpass. In both cases you would get the free Swiss Family Card for the kids, so they travel for free everywhere.

Dear Arno, thanks for your reply and suggestions. I was just comparing price difference between 4 days & 8 days Swiss travel pass and found out same is around 500 CHF for 5 adults.

My plan as follows: on arrival day take rented car from basel to Interlaken (where I am staying) and surrender car same night. That is costing me CHF 200. For next 4 days take Swiss travel pass. Please advise 4 days pass is valid for 4 calendar days or for 96 hours duration from first activation. Also what would be the price for jungfru and titlis with this card.

    Hi Sankalp,

The Swiss Travel Pass is valid for 4 calendar days.

You can find the price list on our Jungfraujoch web page here – on the bottom under ‘more on other websites’ there is a direct link to a price list. And for Titlis the prices can be found here: http://www.myswissalps.com/ti tlis/tickets.
