I am thinking of Switzerland with my family, but wondering whether August of end of October is better. I am thinking of flying to Geneva and then using the train to get about, hopefully staying in the Interlaken area. The idea is go up the Jungfrau and explore, but nothing too adventurous. I gather August is busy and end of October things might be shut. Which would be the better idea? Thanks

Nice to hear you’re coming to Switzerland..sometime next year!

I personally would enjoy August more in the Interlaken area, as in October you can get early winter weather. The summer months can be quite hot-ish, but because you’re very close to mountains you can easily use the most natural air conditioning, altitude.
