We are travelling in mid August to Jungfraujoch and is wondering if it will be better to board the train in Interlaken or in Lauterbrunnen. We are worried that if its busy we wont get a seat from Lauterbrunnen and we are a party of 4.

Hello globalFF and Welcome to MySwissAlps,

Doesn’t matter as you will change trains at Lauterbrunnen anyway.

Maybe read about reservations for Jungfraujoch here.

    Hello Global …

From Interlakken you can head to Jungfrauch either through Grindelwald or Latterbrunnen . A recommended way to get to Jungrauch is up thru Latterbrunnen and return back via Grindelwald or vice versa. In addition to have a the advantage of two different scenic routes …the fare also cheaper . A stop over at Grindelwlad is highly invigorating

The half hourly train that leaves Interlakken takes you to both Grindelwald and Latterbrunnen ..the first 3 coaches go to Gridelwald and the back 3 to Latterbrunnen …Best to check when you board at Interlaken Ost .
