Hi, is it possible to visit Chillon Castle from Interlaken and return the same day? If yes, how and what are the logistics involved? Thanks in advance.

Hello sumitsg,

Yes, take a train to Montreux. The SBB TImetable (http://www.myswissalps.com/ti metable) will show you the fastest route. If you go via Zweisimmen you will travel on the very scenic Golden Pass Line (http://www.myswissalps.com/go ldenpass). Don’t miss that.

At Montreux take a 204/201 bus to Veytaux, Chateau de Chillon: http://www.myswissalps.com/chilloncastle/gettingthere. About 15 minutes. Again – check the timetable.
