Hi we ( 2 adults) are looking to travel by train from Interlaken west to Montreux….by the most scenic route on Saturday 17th June 2017.

We want to leave in the 9.00 am to 10.00 am time zone.

We have been told the most scenic route is via Zweisimmen.

There is the Panoramic Golden pass train and also the ordinary trains isnt there?

Not sure which one to go on.

Tried on Rail Europe web site…confusing…wont let me book Interlaken West to Montreux…maybe have to book Interlaken West to Zweisimmen then Zweismmen to Montreux. I wanted to see how the Golden pass Tourist train compared i n price with ordinarty train and then when ive made my decision where to book.

The restriction being you can book 60 days ahead? not sure….so when can I book June 17th?

Any help on this would be muchly appreciated.

    Regards

    Jane

Hi Jayne and welcome to MySwissAlps!

It does look like in this case you must book within 60 days yes.

You should be able to book this trip at http://www.raileurope.com.au as of April 18. You only need to book the Zweisimmen to Montreux section which is on the panoramic Golden Pass train. Fares are the same you just have to pay the reservation fee on the panoramic train – well worth it!
