We are planning a trip to Switzerland for a week and wanted some suggestions

1. We do not wish to do the glacier express since it is long in duration.. What is the most scenic portion of the itinerary that we can do by local trains as a day trip

2. We plan to travel from interlaken to Paris via Basel SBB. The connection time noted is 7 minutes. Is this sufficient?

3. On the train from interlaken to Paris is there sufficient place to store suitcases. We are a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 kids) and will have 3 suitcases and 2 carry ons. We plan to travel in May and were wondering if luggage would be a problem

Thanks for your help. I appreciate it..

Hi Wannagoswiss, and welcome to the website,

1. Most people would say that the leg St. Moritz - Andermatt is the highlight.

2. Yes it is, if the train arrives on time (which is usually the case, but there are no guarantees). You may be interested in the new direct train from Interlaken to Paris.

3. There is space under or behind, and above the seats, but it depends on the size of your luggage whether that's sufficient. Larger items can be stored in the designated areas elsewhere in the carriage.

Enjoy your stay!
