    Hi,

Is it safe to walk along the street in night time ? Such, Zurich, Luzern, Interlaken, Launterbrunnen, Grindelwald & Zermatt. All the tourist spot, activities all end until what time ? example cruise ride, and so on ? In september month, is the day time shorten than night time ? Mean, at 6pm the sky look almost dark. Because, we are tourist and new in each of the cities. Afraid get lost.

    Please advise.

    Thank you.

    Angel L

    Hi Angel,

Yes it’s fairly safe to walk on the steets at night time. However it’s good to take precautions even when you think it’s safe to walk around late at night.

In general, mountain destinations and transportations usually operate until 5 or 6pm. Most shops stay open until 6 or 7pm. Restaurants, cafes and clubs usually operate longer. Public transport usually operates till late night.

In September, I think 6pm would still be bright. The nights are longer in winter.

    Hope this addresses your concerns.

    Regards,

    Anna
