My wife and I will be traveling to Switzerland in late September, based in Lucerne for 4 nights. We plan to purchase Tell Passes for travel around that particular region during that time. Is it too early to purchase Tell Passes online now? I ask because I remember reading that Tell Passes are available no earlier than 2 weeks prior to their use, but when I went online to peruse the ticketing website, it was given the opportunity to purchase now. This confused me, so I backed out of the website and decided to ask here before purchasing. Thanks for any information you may have on this.

My partner and I are planning a similar experience next month.

We plan to purchase the Tell Pass on our arrival at Zurich Airport.

Our Tell Pass would start the following day and we would purchase a regular ticket from Zurich Airport to Brunnen – our base for the 10 day Tell Pass.

    Hi Oldophead!

No problem, you can get your Tell Passes now through http://www.myswissalps.com/te llpass/price. HappyRail provides free shipping to your home address: https://www.happyrail. com/en/pass/europe/swi tzerland/regional-pass-tell-pass. It’s easy to have your passes in advance, meaning you can start using them straight away and that you don’t have to spend time on a purchase after arrival.
