    Hi,

we are a couple with two kids, 9 years old. We re traveling by car and will be staying for 7 nights in Adellboden and additional nights in Zermatt and Lausanne. We are planning to go up to Jungfrau and do some other hiking using cable cars in the areas.

    1. Is it worthwhile to get a half price Swiss travel pass? What would b the cost for the Lauterbrunen- Juangfrau with such a card?

    2. Can you recommend a day itinerary for the Janfrau trip ( trains to from stops etc, do I have to purchase tickets in advance?)

    Thank you for your assistant.

    Cobi

    Hi Cobi,

    1. The Swiss Half Fare Card is certainly worth it. You’ll break even just with this single trip to Jungfraujoch as you will get a 50% discount and the kids are free (see your previous thread). Total cost for the trip you suggested for all 4 of you will be CHF 189.60. Personally I’d rather park in Frutigen or Interlaken Ost as that makes it easier for you to see the entire Jungfrau region if you come down via Grindelwald, instead of returning the same way to Lauterbrunnen.

    2. All the information you need to plan your day can be found on myswissalps.com/ jungfraujoch.
