This is an opportunity for true Swiss railway lovers. You can join the engine driver of a high speed ETR 610 on its way from Lausanne to Brig. From Brig, you’ll join another driver in the cabine of a Re 460 locomotive, pulling a train across the Lötschberg base tunnel to Bern. This is a spectacular but quite pricy excursion. The regular price is CHF 785 per person, but you’ll get 30% off the price if you book for April. The offer is available through December 14. After April, Swiss Pass owners get a CHF 95 discount. Each second person gets a discount as well.

If you’re planning to do this excursion, it would be great if you could post a trip report here on the forum!
